”Thank you to everyone who made this journey so rewarding”
One of the main objectives in this project is to support developing a pathway of people who are in a difficult labour market position into the work in the support services in the care sector. In addition to individual support and group training activities, practical work trials are carried out in housing units and services provided at home for the elderly and people with disabilities. Here’s some feedback from a participant:
”I had the opportunity to complete my work practice at Uutta Elämää Group in Mikkeli from June 1, 2024, to September 16, 2024, and I am truly grateful for this experience.
During my time at Uutta Elämää Group, I significantly improved my Finnish language skills and learned the basics of a care assistant’s job. This practical experience gave me valuable insights into the role and responsibilities of a care assistant, and I feel much more confident in my abilities.
The entire team at Uutta Elämää Group provided a warm and professional environment where I was able to learn, improve my skills, and develop both personally and professionally. I also appreciated the inclusive and collaborative atmosphere, which allowed me to feel like a valued member of the team.
As a foreigner, I felt welcomed and supported throughout my time here. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Raija and Sara, who were incredibly helpful during my work practice. They paid a lot of attention to me, guided me with care, and made me feel like part of the family. Their kindness and dedication truly made a difference and helped me grow both professionally and personally.
I highly recommend Uutta Elämää Group in Mikkeli to anyone looking for a meaningful and supportive work practice experience. Thank you to everyone who made this journey so rewarding!”
